The word anazao is Greek — "to live again," "to renew." It's a quiet aspiration, not a slogan: that nonprofits and public agencies — in any state, and in Washington — can be supported with enough care that the work feels less like a constant emergency and more like the steady, patient work it actually is.

Origin

Anazao Solutions grew out of a decade of public-service sector work — writing SOPs that staff would actually use, fixing the parts of grant compliance that quietly broke between cycles, and learning how administrative code shapes the day-to-day reality of service delivery. The same insight kept surfacing: the organizations doing the most accountable work were the ones with the most boring documentation — and the ones who learned how to show up at the Statehouse.

Anazao was founded to do that work as a discipline, not a side project. Operations, lobbying, policy tracking, and research live under one roof because in practice they are the same conversation — about how a mission becomes a functioning organization that can move policy.

The press release is not the policy. The policy is in the rule, and the rule is in the manual that almost nobody reads.

Philosophy

We work with organizations whose missions we can describe in a sentence we'd defend publicly. That's the test. We're small enough that our work is felt, and selective enough that the work matters.

What we build is patient: SOPs and systems designed to outlast the staff member who commissioned them. What we represent at the Statehouse is the same — long-arc relationships, careful coalition work, and the kind of consistent, professional presence that legislative staff and agency officials come to recognize and trust.

Operations and advocacy aren't opposing instincts. They're two halves of the same civic muscle.

Where we work

The firm is headquartered in Idaho. Clients are nationwide — nonprofits, advocacy organizations, public agencies, coalitions, and intermediaries. Lobbying engagements run at the Idaho Statehouse, in other state capitols on a per-engagement basis, and federally before the U.S. Congress (registered under the Lobbying Disclosure Act). Research and systems work happens wherever the client is.

What we don't do

We don't take on partisan opposition research, ghostwritten op-eds dressed as analysis, or PR retainers. We don't take engagements where our representation of one client would compromise the work we're doing for another — and we say so before signing, not after.
